It's been a big day for gaming milestones. Shortly after Sony announced 1 million units sold for Bloodborne, Paradox Interactive has followed suit with its own recent release, Cities: Skylines. The publisher has revealed that their city-builder has hit the 1 million milestone in just over a month.

"We continue to be amazed at just how players have embraced Cities: Skylines," Paradox CEO Fredrik Wester said on the Paradox Interactive website. "The game is still selling at a steady pace, which is remarkable for a game that has been on sale for well over a month. Once again, we want to thank everyone that has supported and continues to support this game."

The post adds that over 33,000 mods have been added to the game's Steam Workshop page. Those interested in checking out some of the better mods can look through a couple of recent Shack features: one to get started and another to offer some extra polish.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
