Bloodborne bosses become pushovers in newly-discovered bug

A new bug can make encounters with bosses in Bloodborne much easier, as long as you have a lot of time on your hands.

Bloodborne has been available for a few weeks now, although we wouldn’t blame you if you were absolutely terrified to even consider picking up From Software’s latest creation. But a new bug was discovered recently that makes the game’s bosses as easy as Sunday morning.

Redditor meatballz discovered during his marathon session that if you leave Bloodborne running for 12 or more hours, a memory leak would cause the bosses to have a reduced moveset, thus making it easier for hunters to take them down. Restarting the game causes the bosses to become the badasses we all know they should be.

Meatballz posted some videos showing how different a particular boss fight against Logarius was. This first video shows how Logarius fights prior to the bug’s activation.

This second video shows how limited Logarius’ attacks become after the game has been active for over 12 hours.

As you can see, after Bloodborne has been left on for over 12 hours, Logarius’ moveset becomes extremely limited to just a single attack that can be easily reversed. For a game like Bloodborne, which is supposed to offer challenging boss battles, to have these encounters watered down can completely ruin the experience From Software wanted to deliver. Now that players have reported on the bug, hopefully From Software can work on another hotfix, or at least include a fix in its upcoming major patch, which will hopefully address its long loads.
