Mortal Kombat X on Xbox 360 and PS3 gets delayed to summer
The last-gen versions of Mortal Kombat X have been delayed for a few months after the PC, Xbox One, and PS4 versions plan to be released.
Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait for their time to rip the heads off of their opponents as Mortal Kombat X has been delayed on last-gen consoles.
Earlier this morning, Amazon changed the release date of both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Mortal Kombat X to June 2015. Shortly after this change, WBIE has indeed confirmed the last-gen versions of the game will be delayed, while the Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions are still expected to be released next month.
“Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer,” the publisher’s statement reads. “The Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC versions will be available April 14."
We’ve seen publishers delay last-gen versions of upcoming AAA games in the past, such as Shadow of Mordor. This isn’t something entirely new, although I’m sure it still stings for those who are still stuck on last-gen systems until they’re able to finally dive into current-gen.
