Mortal Kombat X will be heading to iOS and Android mobile devices this April, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced today.

Mortal Kombat X on mobile will be a free-to-play fighting / card-battle hybrid game that features legendary Mortal Kombat characters such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden as well as the new generation of Kombatants. Players will be able to enjoy the visceral combat experience that fans have come to love from the series, along with Fatalities, X-Rays, and more.

Those who plan on purchasing the console or PC versions of Mortal Kombat X will be able to enjoy unique cross-connectivity features that delivers unique rewards to all players, just for playing the mobile game itself. Unique content will be unlocked in both the console and PC versions as well as the mobile game.

Mortal Kombat X will be available on April 14 on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, although the mobile game currently has an “April 2015” release date. Hopefully it’ll release close to when the console and PC versions are released so players can enjoy the cross-platform features as soon as possible.
