World of Warcraft patch 6.1 unleashes selfies on Feb. 24
World of Warcraft's latest major patch will be hitting next Tuesday, so make sure you prepare for the selfie explosion!
World of Warcraft Patch 6.1 - you know, the one that includes a selfie camera - will leave PTR and will be released to the general public on February 24.
Patch 6.1 will include a number of improvements to World of Warcraft which includes new character models for Blood Elves, better integration with Twitter (which wouldn’t quite work if you’re playing on an RP server), support for Heirloom items, support for the colorblind, and new graphical improvements.
For those that want to know every bit and piece of this upcoming update, Blizzard has the full set of patch notes here. If you prefer to receive your patch notes in video form, Blizzard has also published a video highlighting many of Patch 6.1’s improvements.

6.1 really seems like more of a clean-up patch than anything, I'm not sure why they bothered with that version number. I guess it adds some new garrison quests, but does anybody even do those anymore? They seem so fragmented and scattershot and frankly just pointless that I've definitely given up on them.
Ever since they got rid of Valor Points or whatever, it feels like they haven't given players a good reason to do anything except join a raiding guild. Maybe that's their goal. But I see a *ton* of people complaining about the lack of non-raid end game content, and I totally agree with them. -
