GoG adds six new Star Wars titles to its catalog today

Six new Star Wars games have beamed up to GoG today, which includes new games from the X-Wing / TIE Fighter series and even KOTOR 2.

GoG made quite a splash back in October when they announced they would be the home to a total of six classic LucasArts game, which includes X-Wing and Tie Fighter titles. Today, GoG is announcing six new Star Wars-themed titles will be joining its ranks.

GoG welcomes Star Wars: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance, and Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga to its catalog, all of which are making their digital distribution debut within their marketplace. GoG is also adding DRM-free versions of Star Wars: Battlefront II, Star Wars: Dark Forces, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords to its catalog, which will be receiving a launch discount of 20% for the next 72 hours.

As a fan of the X-Wing and TIE Fighter series, I am extremely excited about these new additions. The addition of Battlefront II, Dark Forces, and KOTOR 2 is also great, especially if you're into owning DRM-free versions of games.

And now the countdown to the release of Jedi Academy begins. At least I hope so.

      Xwing Alliance! Yes!

Had so much trouble getting the original to work on my current setup. GOG is awesome.

I played the crap out of Dark Forces and Jedi Knight, but after that I lost interest. The focus on being a Jedi really turned me off since it never "felt" right to me. The saber combat wasn't satisfying and juggling 20 different force powers was cumbersome and annoying. The game gets shit on and certainly had its faults, but Force Unleashed was a much more enjoyable "Jedi" experience.

That said, I'm pissed 1313 will never see the light of day. That's exactly the kind of Star Wars game I'd like to see :(

Hi, dear Shack news editor, can you please contact GoG about whether multiplayer works in any of these games including their own GoG Galaxy MP platform for older games?
