This War of Mine begins its struggle today on PC

11-bit Studios has launched its ultra-realistic look into life during wartime today with This War of Mine hitting PC.

Video games have been long-known to glorify armed conflicts. Today, 11-bit Studios is looking at war from a completely different point of view with This War of Mine.

This War of Mine sees players managing a family of survivors in the middle of a devastating war. The idea is to collect supplies, manage who gets what limited resources, and simply live to see the next day. Shacknews got a small taste of what this game had to offer during this year's Game Developers Conference and it's definitely unlike anything we've seen this year.

The launch trailer looks at the real-life story of an individual that saw war suddenly change his life forever. Watch the whole thing below. This War of Mine is available now on Steam and is coming soon to mobile devices.
