Halo: The Master Chief Collection receiving matchmaking update today
343 Industries has said they plan on releasing a server-side patch that will hopefully address the ongoing matchmaking issues players are experiencing.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection has had quite the rocky launch as the title’s matchmaking hasn’t been working as it should. Microsoft acknowledge the issue yesterday, and today, 343 Industries has announced they plan to release “a number of server updates” today.
343 Industries executive producer Dan Ayoub published an update earlier today regarding the matchmaking issues. He notes the developer has received “several, well deserved, complaints” regarding these issues, but thankfully, the team plans to roll out a number of server updates today to help improve matchmaking. These will be server-side fixes, so those who own Halo: The Master Chief Collection shouldn’t expect to download any content updates or restart their console as the effects should be apparent right away.
343 Industries is also planning another patch for this weekend which will address a number of other issues, such as achievements not unlocking correctly. Ayoub also took this opportunity to apologize on behalf of the studio for The Master Chief Collection’s launch issues. “From everyone at 343 Industries, we are truly sorry and feel your frustration," Ayoub writes. "You deserve better and we are working day and night to find solutions as quickly as possible, with our first priority focused on matchmaking improvements."
