Halo: The Master Chief Collection will include former PC-exclusive maps
Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 on PC each had maps that were exclusive to the platform. Those maps will also make the jump to the Xbox One compilation in November.
If Halo: The Master Chief Collection is going to be a definitive collection of all things Master Chief, then there are a few extras that it's going to need to include. In particular, there are some multiplayer maps that only saw the light of day in the PC versions of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. Fortunately, 343 Industries is promising that these maps will also make their way to the upcoming Xbox One compilation.
343 made the announcement on a blog post (via Gamespot) issued yesterday. The maps exclusive to Halo: CE on PC were Timberland, Death Island, Gephyrophobia, Danger Canyon, Ice Fields and Infinity. The Halo 2 maps exclusive to PC were District and Uplift.
Though the PC-exclusive weaponry doesn't look like it'll make the cut, 343 appears to be going all-out to offer as many of the Master Chief Halo multiplayer maps as possible. For more on how some of the Halo 2 maps are being presented, check out our preview.
