Killer Instinct: Season 2's Maya hunts for prey in new trailer

Maya hunts down some new prey in the latest Killer Instinct: Season 2 trailer and Iron Galaxy teases an all-new original addition to the roster.

Killer Instinct is ready to kick off Season 2 next month and Iron Galaxy is ready to unveil the second of its new fighters: the Amazon warrior, Maya. First revealed at Evo, the studio has released the first trailer for the all-new re-imagined character, who Iron Galaxy's Adam Heart reminds us is not technically related to the KI2 character of the same name.

Maya can be seen inflicting pain with her dual daggers. As previously mentioned, the daggers can be powered up over the course of battle and are a pivotal part of Maya's game. Fans can also check out the new Amazon stage, showing off the new rain forest environment, complete with running creeks and falling trees.

As has been the case with many of Killer Instinct's trailer, the next character reveal was teased at the end. This mummy-like character, however, is unlike any of the previous fighters and appears to be an all-new original addition to the cast.

Season 2 begins on October 15, though if you're attached to your Season 1 character, get ready for those balance changes to take effect next week.
