NBA 2K15 on PS4 and Xbox One gets face-scanning tech
The next-gen console versions of 2K's basketball game will get the ability to fully map out your face, using each system's respective camera.
It's one thing to pretend to be a pro baller and live vicariously through virtual avatars, but NBA 2K15 is about to take this idea to a new level. The latest iteration of the long-running franchise will feature an all new face-scanning feature that will literally put your face on a custom character.
The new face-scanning feature will utilize the Xbox One Kinect or PlayStation Camera, held 6-12 inches from a user's face for about 30 seconds. The camera will then map the full face and create a full 3D model. The head can then be shaped from there to create a full virtual doppleganger.
For more on this feature, be sure to check out the video below. NBA 2K15 will release on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 7.
