With the summer weather in full bloom, it's time to hit the golf course. HB Studios has announced that its procedurally-generated golf game, The Golf Club, is ready to exit Steam Early Access and hit PC and Xbox One on August 19. A PlayStation 4 version is currently undergoing the certification process and is expected to release shortly thereafter.

In addition to offering procedurally-generated courses for Tours & Tournaments, stroke play, match play, and 4-ball, The Golf Club will also feature the Greg Norman Course Designer. Users can create an unlimited number of custom courses based on theme, terrain features, and number of holes and add any number of hazards and objects desired. Regardless of how crazy the courses get, The Golf Club is promising no loading times between any holes.

All versions of the game will retail for $34.99. For more on The Golf Club, be sure to check out our interview with the folks at HB Studios.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
