Far Cry 4 lead programmer talks story, mission structure, and wildlife
During last week's trip to New York City, the Shacknews video crew met up with Raphael Parent, lead programmer for Far Cry 4, to talk about the story, the creative use of wildlife, and more.
Far Cry 4 isn't going to be short on options in regards to how to play the game. That much was evident during our first hands-on time with the game back at E3 2014. Now it's time to learn a little bit more about the story and what Ubisoft's venture to Kyrat will feature, as the Shacknews video crew speaks to lead programmer Raphael Parent.
Parent offers some background, noting that the main character will be looking to fulfill his mother's dying wish to have her ashes spread across the mountains of Kyrat. Of course, he runs afoul of flamboyant dictator Pagan Min, leading to an alliance with Kyrat's burgeoning rebellion.
Parent also goes into Far Cry 4's wildlife and the myraid ways it can be used to complete objectives and clear out outposts of enemies. For more, check out the interview below. Far Cry 4 arrives on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 on November 18.
