Hitman: Sniper announced for mobile
Square Enix Montreal announced Hitman: Sniper, a competitive free-to-play game coming to mobile devices.
Following up on the launch of Hitman GO, Square Enix Montreal has announced another mobile game joining the Hitman universe. It's called Hitman: Sniper, and unlike the premium-priced GO, it will be free-to-play.
The announcement explains it as similar to Hitman: Sniper Challenge on PC. It will focus on contract scenarios with multiple ways to accomplish each objective and earn leaderboard scores. The in-app purchases will let you get early access to contracts and upgrade your rifle, but the studio stresses that you can simply earn those in-game as well. It says it's making it F2P so that more people have access to the meta-game, making it a larger competition for everyone.
Hitman: Sniper will be shown at E3 next week. Meanwhile, the announcement noted that the GO team is working on more levels for the board-game-inspired puzzler as well.
