Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel slated for October
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has gotten a release date of October 14 in North America, along with a pre-order bonus and new trailer.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is coming on October 14 in North America, 2K and Gearbox announced today. It's due for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
The companies also announced a pre-order bonus, in the form of DLC. Stating your intentions early will get you the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit content, an arena battle hosted by a former Dahl military recruiter who has since gone insane. But on Pandora, sanity is pretty relative anyway. It takes place on a remote moon, so it's likely to make use of the new jetpack mechanic. And of course, it offers loot for those who survive the gauntlet.
The mid-way point between the first and second Borderlands games will tell the story of Handsome Jack's rise to power, before you ugly up that pretty face.
To complement the announcement, 2K released a trailer heavy on the wub-wubs, so get your glowsticks and check it out.
