Batman: Arkham Knight has joined the ever-growing list of games that have been pushed into 2015. WB Games and Rocksteady softened the blow with a new trailer that teases a "Battle Mode" debuting at E3.

"We just want to make this the best experience that we can, and that takes time," Rocksteady marketing manager Guy Perkins told GameSpot. "We feel that we have an absolutely awesome game in the works, and we want to make it as great as it possibly can be. We just need more time to do that. If we didn't give the team more time to do it, then we would be releasing something that we weren't happy with. We want to make sure we're absolutely nailing it 100 percent."

You can check out the Battle Mode teaser, along with a the stinging "Coming 2015" at the end, in the trailer below.

There's a lot to play and catch up on anyway. Including the last two Batman games I haven't finished.

Yeah but honestly would you like it rushed or done properly? There's so many good games to play out there anyhow, it's worth waiting for good stuff.
Wasn't GTAV delayed ? I seriously honestly can't remember for sure? If it was - it's a great example of games being worth delays because people never remember the delays (Half life 2 fiasco excluded)

I really want to play this game but usually can't do survival horror for long periods. I barely got through the first dead space, but enjoyed it.

I guess what I really need is something in its aesthetic style that's not specifically survival horror.

This seems far more like it's actually about surviving the horror, whereas most "survival horror" is really just a 3rd person action game with scary monsters and some tension.

Even Dead Space 1 was more about action and killing shit than being "survival horror" in any meaningful sense of the word (same with most RE games).

I think that's why I liked dead space because of the action.

All well I want it to own so I am cool with it.

They need to get their shit together. Either change the way their hype machine works, or stop delaying games.

I would bet money that this continual announcement and delay cycle actually hurts their sales compared to what was normal 5 years ago.

Its far enough from release that I don't have a problem with it. If it was due next week then they moved it sure but I don't see this hurting sales much.
