Warhammer 40K: Carnage, the side-scrolling action game from Roadhouse Interactive, is now available on iOS. The game boasts 50 stages and more than 500 pieces of gear to customize your Space Marine, but it comes at a high-for-an-app price of $8.99.

Carnage features solo or co-op play, with a variety of Warhammer 40K weapons like boltguns, chainswords, thunder hammers, and grenades. Notable Warhammer author Graham McNeill wrote the story, which follows your Space Marine's attempt to take back the planet Mithra from the orks. You can find the game in the App Store, and check out the gameplay trailer below.

IDK. I generally get bored of side scrollers as is. And the gameplay vid I watched didn't really do anything for me other than "Oh neat, cell shaded WH40K!". I'd buy it for $1 if I had nothing else in my library that was calling to me.

funny, sidescrollers are one of the few genres I don't get tired of. And I think this is more promising than the Plants vs zombies knock off too. 40k can be used in one of 3 ways.
        1) do it like the tabletop game. unapollagetic grim darkness, insane gore, elements of horror and constant war
        2) so it like the Horus Heresy, treat it like a greek tradgedy in space, with horror, grimdark and gore
        3) affectionate parody.
hopefully this game does number 3
