Free-to-play Happy Wars jumps to PC, requires Xbox Live account

Toylogic's "large-scale multiplayer" free-to-play action game, Happy Wars, is jumping from Xbox 360 to PC. And oddly, it requires an Xbox Live account on PC.

Toylogic's "large-scale multiplayer" free-to-play action game, Happy Wars, is jumping from Xbox 360 to PC. The game already has over a million players on console, and is one of the few games to feature content for non-Gold subscribers.

A closed beta version of the game will run from April 30 to May 13. Oddly, in order to apply, testers will need both a Steam and Xbox Live account. The closed beta will let users test almost all the features of the game, including single-player modes. Microtransactions will be disabled in the beta build, however.
