Slightly Mad Studios has released a new trailer for the upcoming crowdfunded racing game, Project CARS. The trailer is about what you'd expect, showing off some gorgeous-looking vehicles across beautifully-crafted environments. But the developer then pulls the curtain back on the trailer's big twist: all of the footage is taken directly in-game.

That's right. All of the footage of the vast real-world landscapes, the vehicle interiors, the sleek designs, the sunsets, the shadows, and the crowds are all taken from actual gameplay footage. It certainly appears that Slightly Mad has used the $660,000 it raised very wisely.

You can check out the full gameplay trailer below. Project CARS is aiming for a November 2014 release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, and SteamOS and is also looking to be one of the first games to support Sony's Project Morpheus.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
