Diablo 3 for Xbox One in development, Blizzard confirms

Surprise! Blizzard has finally confirmed it is working on an Xbox One version of Diablo 3, months after it appeared at retail. However, in a bizarre twist, while Blizzard can confirm development, they can't actually confirm if the game will actually come out.
"I don't know where we are with Microsoft right now so I can't really comment on what that contract looks like," lead producer Alex Mayberry explained to VideoGamer. "The point is we are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously. We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run."
Blizzard's odd, not-very-exclusive agreement with Sony may have something to do with Mayberry's silence. The PS3 version of Diablo was announced months before the Xbox 360 version, and included extra content not found on Microsoft's platform. Regardless, the two versions did ship at the same time. It's likely Blizzard is following the same practice with the next-gen release.
