EverQuest Next Landmark closed beta begins next week
Everquest Next Landmark, the building tools that tie-in with the upcoming MMO, will progress from its current alpha state and launch in closed beta next week.
EverQuest Next Landmark, a spin-off tool that lets players create objects that can appear in EverQuest Next, will launch in closed beta next week. SOE said this week at the Game Developers Conference that invites will start going out next Wednesday, March 26.
“It's working really, really well right now," head of franchise development David Georgeson told PC Gamer. "Alpha's been working fantastic. The whole idea of, we'll be open, you can be part of the dev team, that was courageous, let's put it that way. But it's exactly what we hoped. We tell them everything... they're being extremely helpful, they're trying to make things better and they're literally using our tools in ways we did not know could be done."
Beta sign-ups began in October, but the form is still open. Check out our impressions for more details on the creation tool.
