Tropico 5 beta registrations open
Tropico 5 has opened its beta registrations for a PC test to begin in March.
Tropico 5 will be opening its borders for a beta test in March, Kalypso Media has announced. Registration opened today, and the publisher says it's looking for players with a wide base of experience in the city-building genre.
You can register with the form on the official site for a shot at the beta. As the form shows, the beta is strictly targeted at PC users, so Mac and console players will just have to wait for it to come out properly. The announcement didn't detail how much of the game will be playable in the beta.
Tropico 5 once again puts you in charge of the small island of Tropico, but this time focuses more on dynasty. Like any corrupt dictator, you'll promote members of your family to different posts throughout the island to keep your legacy alive. It also adds new trading mechanics, island exploration, and cooperative and competitive multiplayer.
