Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will include Clans and Communities

Diablo 3 will implement a new Clans and Communities feature to the game, which will kick off with the arrival of the Reaper of Souls expansion.

The new Diablo 3 expansion, Reaper of Souls, will bombard the nephalim with legions of undead soldiers. This amplified threat will require some friendly collaboration and Blizzard is going to help that cause with a new Clan and Community system, set to launch alongside the expansion.

Clans will operate with a 120-person limit and will operate by invitation only, intended for closer groups of friends. Clan members will receive notification notices in regards to item exchanges, achievements, and member activities.

By contrast, Communities will be open to a near limitless roster. Intended for a more casual setting, Communities can be made public or private. Battle.net cites online communities, internet cafes, companies, or internet personality fanbases as examples of those that might utilize the Community system.

Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will arrive on PC and Mac on March 25, with console versions coming later.

But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
