Chatty Twitch Highlights 3: PlanetSide 2 Shackbattle, Alice plays Dark Souls, and more

This week's Chatty Twitch Highlights get more inclusive, as we feature a PlanetSide 2 Shackbattle (through the eyes of sergeon), pyide playing some Low Scorer Spelunky, and our own Alice playing Dark Souls.

It's a lot of fun to watch the Shacknews Chatty community dive into Twitch and stream their favorite games, as evidenced by a full-on Shackbattle on display this week. In fact, some of us on the staff have decided to get in on the fun, too. This week's edition of Chatty Twitch Highlights is headlined by Chatty's finest getting into a PlanetSide 2 Shackbattle and by our own Alice O'Connor diving into the world of Dark Souls, where she dies. A lot.

Here's a compilation of some of the best Shacknews Twitch highlights for the week of February 1, 2014.

Dark Souls

Even though Dark Souls 2 is on the horizon, the first Dark Souls continues to get a lot of love on Twitch. And that leads me into Alice jumping into the world of Dark Souls, because as she points out, Twitch requires all members to stream Dark Souls. You can check out one of her playthroughs below, where she'll engage viewers with her unique take on the game and with her soothing British accent. Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't include Alice's clip of Dark Souls where she fights a giant Bell Gargoyle to the tune of "Stand By Me."

Spelunky

Surviving Spelunky can be a harrowing challenge in itself, but it gets that much harder when you try and complete every level without collecting a thing. pyide has taken up this challenge and plays some Low Scorer Spelunky, traversing through the treacherous Jungle and Ice Cave stages. pyide's jetpack work at the halfway point is pretty impressive.

PlanetSide 2

When he isn't performing dangerous life-threatening surgery, sergeon is taking part in PlanetSide 2 Shackbattles, alongside many other members of the Chatty community. We take a look through sergeon's eyes, as he rolls out with the New Conglomerate faction and busts some heads in this week's skirmish.
