Double Dragon and five more PSone imports coming to PS3 & Vita
MonkeyPaw Games is gearing up to release six PlayStation One-era imports to PS3, Vita, and PSP, starting with 1996's Double Dragon.
MonkeyPaw Games has specialized in helping bring various import games from Japan to Western countries. The publisher announced today that they would bring a new batch of PlayStation One-era imports stateside, as part of its 2014 Retro Rush, beginning with 1996's Double Dragon. The games will hit the PlayStation Store and be playable on PS3, Vita, and PSP.
You're probably familiar with the story of brothers Billy and Jimmy, but their PlayStation game strays quite a bit from their beat-'em-up roots. In fact, this is a one-on-one fighting game, based on the horrendous Double Dragon movie, which released in theaters the year before.
Double Dragon will kick off the Retro Rush offerings on January 14. Here's the full list of imports coming your way in the next six weeks.
- January 14 - Double Dragon
- January 21 - Lucifer Ring
- January 28 - The Firemen 2: Pete and Danny
- February 4 - Hyper Crazy Climber
- February 11 - Wolf Fang
- February 18 - Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return
