Hitman: Absolution gets three new contracts today
It's not every day new content just magically shows up for a game that's more than a year old. For some reason, 2012's Hitman: Absolution has been updated today with new contracts for every platform.

Each new contract is platform-exclusive. On Xbox 360, you'll play through a doughnut shop massacre (pictured). On PS3, you'll run into a pyromaniac ice cream seller. Finally, on PC, you'll go through a haunted house.
It's unclear why there's new content for Hitman all of a sudden, but we're sure fan won't mind. Developer IO Interactive is working on a new entry to the series, and the game's Facebook page (via Joystiq) has teased that 2014 will be "a very exciting year" for the franchise.

This guy does a great and often very funny job of describing why you won't want Hitman: Absolution, despite his text-to-speech sounding voice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXmTyN-wtZg&hd=1

I thought it was a pretty good game. Once you get past the first few missions and annoying police chases it opens up back into classic Hitman and there are some pretty great playgrounds. Its fun to discover all the different ways you can assassinate someone and the game rewards you for found so. Also has a great engine, looks super nice and runs well. Only thing I didn't really like was the new disguise system, didn't really make sense. If you can get it below $10 I'd highly recommend picking it up. You'll easily get your moneys worth.
