The Walking Dead: Season Two detailed, pre-orders open

Telltale finally took the wraps off of some plot and release information for The Walking Dead: Season Two, and has opened PC and Mac pre-orders.

Telltale Games took the wraps off of The Walking Dead: Season Two today. The five-episode series will begin later this year, and last into 2014. It's planned for PC, Mac, home consoles, iOS, and "additional platforms." First season spoilers follow. Players will take the role of Clementine herself, who has been left on her own after the events of the first season. You'll still be faced with outwitting zombies and tough moral choices, but through the lens of a young girl instead of the physically stronger and more mature Lee. "The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman's world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series," said Telltale CEO Dan Connors, in the announcement. "Today we can finally lift the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue, and we'll soon be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted." The PC and Mac versions are available for pre-order on the official site and through Steam, at a 10% discount. That puts them at $22.49, instead of the standard season price of $25. Telltale also announced that it will release a Game of the Year Edition of the first season in November. That set will include the five episodes of the first season, along with its 400 Days DLC, for $29.99. This is one of the rare times that designation is appropriate, so mark this on your calendars, folks.

I played the first season all at once, but I don't think I'll be doing that this time. My interest level is way too high for this.

I can't do it any other way than all at once with Telltale's stuff.

Well, not all in a day or anything, but over a week or two at my leisure. Waiting months+ between episodes is too damn hard for me. The downside is you have to avoid spoilers, which I managed to do with the first season somehow.

I'm doing it as they come out. Watch Dogs delay left me hanging on interesting titles anyway, so a double dose of TWD2/Wolf Among Us sounds great.

After the end in Wolf among us, I'm going to wait for it all to come out.

Season Two decisions from Season One. I just hope they fix the save bug which I doubt.

Not so fast, telltale. I'd rather play multiple episodes all at once rather than having to wait 2months for each. I'll just hit you up on the summer sale and get it for half price.

Online retailers like GF, GMG, and Steam often bundle up the first season and 400 Days for a lot less than that.

I liked the idea of Clementine having a completely unknown future and fate. I think I'll wait and see on this one.
