Respawn Entertainment has announced that Titanfall will drop for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on March 11, 2014. The studio also announced a pricey Collector's Edition, with a handful of high-end goodies for the extra cash.

According to the official site, the CE will run you $249.99. For the price you get an 18" titan statue with diorama and LED lighting, a full-size 190 page art book, and a schematic poster of the Atlas titan.

"Since we revealed the game in June we've been absolutely blown away by the reaction to Titanfall," said Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella, in the announcement. "The feedback we're getting from fans around the world is fueling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype."

I want it so bad....but $250 is pretty steep.... Especially when I am buying a new console next month.

This will teach you to be a fanyboy. The more hype you help build for a new game and the higher the cost of the Collector's Edition.

The statue is really nice but I don't think it's worth $150. Then again dinosaur statues about that size go for that much and they don't include LED lighting so maybe it is.

I hope the PC version gets the CE. For whatever reason the PC version of games almost never get CE editions. Ubisoft is one the few companies that do it.

EA - at least for Bioware's games - has been pretty good about spreading the CE love to PC as well. I'd imagine they'll do the same for Titanfall.

This is why I'm buying Dark Souls 2 on PS3 first :(

But whatever, it's Dark Souls 2, it'd be amazing on Atari Jaguar probably.

When did it become OK to use "drop" for release?

Will there be a PC demo prior to launch? This will decide if I buy or not.

Why did I somehow think this was a fall-to-end-of-year release? March? Daaang.

Oh well, time to stop being interested in it for three months or so.

I checked out that initial footage, and now I'm keeping myself blind to it. That's how I treated Bioshock 3 and Last of Us, and I believe those games were made better for it.

While this game looks really good,I think the long term success will depend on the map sizes.

While the gameplay looks solid,if the maps are small(relatively speaking),this game will just feel like another lobby shooter, and a good chunk of the playerbase will fall off.
