Watch Dogs delayed to spring 2014, The Crew pushed back
Watch Dogs has been delayed to spring of 2014, Ubisoft announced today.
Watch Dogs claimed November 19 for its release date way back in April, but the team at Ubisoft has decided to push it back. The developers announced a delay until spring of 2014 today, to "deliver something that embodies what we wanted to see in the next-generation of gaming."
"From the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality," reads a statement on the Ubisoft blog. "As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune each detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience."
In a press release, Ubisoft also noted that open-world driving game The Crew had been pushed from fiscal year 2013-2014 to FY 2014-2015. That will put it sometime between April of 2014 and March of 2015.

The Amazon "PlayStation 4 Watch Dogs Launch Day Bundle" is still up on their site, should be interesting to see what happens to it since it's not an official Sony bundle. The other bundles should have some (limited) availability soon.

FFFUUUUUUUUUUU! Pre-order cancelled. T_T
I think I'll just wait until spring to make a console decision and pick up a new 250GB 360 bundle this holiday season since I still have a 1st gen 360 and a nice library of games to go through still (and maybe catch up on a few games that will be on sale during the holidays). ^_^ -

Personally I'd spend the $400 to get the hardware if thats the system that I want, regardless if the games suck at launch or the one game that got away. I can understand if somebody is strapped for cash and no games at launch they want to play can be a turn-off and that money can be applied to something more pressing.

I didn't cancel my preorder for the ps4 over this but this was supposed to be the big game at launch, at least for me. An original AAA IP with a scifi setting sign me up. Now I'll probably wait for the budget version of the GOTY 6 months after game release.
I can kinda see why they would want to alternate this with the AssCreed release schedule though. AAA games aren't that different from summer movies these days.
