Final Fantasy IV: The After Years coming to iOS, Android
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is getting a 3D remake and will hit iOS and Android devices this coming winter.
Some fans of Final Fantasy IV may not remember this, but the game did yield an official sequel. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was originally released in 2009 as a downloadable WiiWare title before coming to the PSP as part of Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection. This week, Square Enix announced (via Siliconera) that it would remake The After Years with updated 3D visuals as a mobile title.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years takes place 17 years after the original game and follows the story of Cecil and Rosa's son, Ceodore Harvey. Much of the cast of FFIV return, some of them playable for the first time. The 3D remake will be similar to the one that FFIV got for the DS in 2007.
