Call of Duty: Ghosts pre-orders include Eminem album discount

Activision is offering a discount code for Eminem's next album with pre-orders of Call of Duty: Ghosts.

So, is a free multiplayer map not enough to convince you to pre-order Call of Duty: Ghosts? Are you on the fence because of next-gen hesitation? Well, Activision has one more trick up its sleeve to convince you to pre-order their upcoming shooter.

Activision has announced a partnership with rapper Eminem to offer a discount on his upcoming album. Both the album and game are due on November 5, and pre-ordering Ghosts from GameStop will grant you a code to download The Marshall Mathers LP 2 at a discount.

For those asking "why is this even a promotion that is happening," we should point out that Eminem's song "Survival" served as the musical backdrop for Activision's reveal event earlier this year.

The code will grant you the album with an exclusive bonus track for $8.99. (New release albums tend to sell between $9.99 and $14.99--saving you at least $1.) The offer will be available through November 19, and those who take GameStop up on the offer will find the download code on their receipt.

Eminem sounds incredibly passionate about the whole thing. "The energy and intensity of 'Survival' really matches Call of Duty: Ghosts," Eminem said in the press release. "I'm excited to continue to be a part of the franchise."
