Xbox One to launch November 22
Microsoft announced today that the Xbox One is coming on November 22.
Microsoft announced today that the Xbox One will launch on Friday, November 22, for $499. This puts it just a week after the launch of the PlayStation 4. Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi points out that this is the same launch date as Xbox 360.
The announcement left details sparse, other than a list of the 13 available launch markets, which includes the US and much of Europe. The company also announced that additional Day One units are still available for pre-order, and confirmed yesterday's CPU increase.

I wonder if they wanted to go earlier, but needed the extra two weeks to get more consoles off the line. But Sony is in a great position now, if they can meet demand and Microsoft can't then when the Xbox launches anyone who might have been waiting in line for an xbox and didn't get one might decided to just get a PS4 since there already there.

I was wondering this too, especially among the more "gamer" types. The Bombcast guys talking about people walking in to buy Eminem and CoD and just grabbing an XBO for the hell of it struck me as just ludicrous.
I would not ever deal with waiting in line and/or hoping I get something like a game system. I get it day one, shipped to my house for free...why the hell would you do anything else? -

100% this ^^^^ this is the very first launch I will not be part of physically in a line or going to a store.
I Amazoned both the PS4 and Xbox1 it is pretty rad I don't have to stress or wake up early the consoles just come to my door 100% no worries.
Maybe there are some gamers that still enjoy the whole lien up waking up early taking the day off skipping school etc?
Still getting burned in a line(cough PS3) and not getting a new console really sucks when it happens. So being 100% secure and guaranteed a new console to me is the only way to go now a days with Amazon.
