Jack Black and Tim Schafer are reuniting for Broken Age. The two previously worked together on Brutal Legend, one of Double Fine's most divisive works. Black played the main character, although his role has been considerably shrunken down for Schafer's latest adventure. He'll play Harm'ny Lightbeard, a part that Black calls "not very big" in a new video released by Double Fine.
Other Double Fine alums will return for Broken Age, including Jennifer Hale, Richard Horvitz, Nick Jameson, Grey Delisle, and Cree Summer.
Voice director Khris Brown called the endeavor a "kind of family reunion" for the studio, adding that "it's like a big, Thanksgiving dinner, except everything's being recorded. Here's a look at what's been recorded so far:

It still had a lot of the GoW / Open world drive around stuff, the RTS things didn't really pop up until maybe half way through the game.
Also anyone that couldn't beat them sucks at games because they were pretty damn easy, and overall in the game there were what like 5-7 of them total? I don't remember there being that many once they do show up.

it wasn't Jack Black, he was good for the tone of the game, it was the RTS elements no one wanted or asked for from a Double Fine game. I dunno, it just failed to be fun for me.
The first part of the game where it was what I thought it was.....was really fun. Lots of was in that sentence, it makes my head hurt.-

I think it was less the RTS stuff specifically and more that the game people thought they were going to play only lasted a short while and then this entirely different game started. I bet if they had advertised the actual game direction instead of making it seem like a character action game, it wouldn't have been nearly as divisive.
