After being spotted at retail, Konami has confirmed Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD is coming to consoles. The bridge between the two Lords of Shadow games will hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 29. Besides the HD presentation, the port will include online leaderboards, a Boss Rush mode, and an exclusive demo for Lords of Shadow 2. Konami will also be releasing a Lords of Shadow Collection on October 29, which will include the original game, the Reverie and Resurrection DLC, and Mirror of Fate HD. "We are delighted to be able to bring Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD to an all-new audience," commented Konami's Dave Cox, in the announcement. "The game acts as the perfect accompaniment to the forthcoming Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and will deliver a stunning slice of action and exploration, while unpeeling more layers regarding the lineage and true destiny of the Belmont family." Don't worry, it's not a real Castlevania game.

Oh, ok, was more worried about the story since I am getting LoS 1 on PC this month and would like to fill the holes before 2, but I guess thats why they made YouTube.

Don't get that either. Unless you like DmC/God of War, then it might be worth it.

But the Mercury Steam-developed games have zero of the things that made the side-scrolling Castlevanias awesome. No kick ass electronic music, no precision platforming, none of that je ne sais quois element of Japanese silliness mixed with dark imagery.

LoS had an excellent story. I wish the gameplay had been a bit more precise, and hope they address that in the sequel.
