Grand Theft Auto 5 PC namedropped by Nvidia
PC gamers should be quite thrilled to hear that Nvidia--a major PC gaming partner--namedropped a PC release of GTA5 for this fall.
Rockstar has yet to announce a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5--even though people clearly want one. Officially, a PC port is "up for consideration." Unofficially, it sounds like a PC version is in the works.
PC gamers should be quite thrilled to hear that Nvidia--a major PC gaming partner--namedropped a PC release of GTA5 for this fall.
"The PC market is evolving," Nvidia's senior director of investor relations Chris Evenden said in an earnings call (via Polygon). "Gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises, such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Assassin's Creed 4."
Evenden could be mistaken, however if he isn't, it appears that PC gamers can look forward to GTA some time this fall. There was a seven month delay between the PC and console version of GTA4. If Evenden is correct, the PC release of GTA5 will appear much sooner.

UPDATE: nvidia replied saying: "Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list...This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by Nvidia. Nvidia does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”
