Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies earns M rating
A new trailer for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies reveals that the game has been given an M-rating from the ESRB.
With its colorful anime style, it may come as a surprise that Phoenix Wright has never been exactly kid-friendly. It is a series that revolves around solving grisly murders, after all. The upcoming Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies may be getting a little more bloody, as a new trailer reveals it's been rated M for Mature by the ESRB.
The descriptor attributes the rating to Violence, Blood, Suggestive Themes, and Language. These are very similar, and in the case of the first game, precisely the same descriptors used for the previous Teen-rated games. It may be that this Ace Attorney is more graphic, or even simply that the higher fidelity of the 3DS made raters squirm. We've contacted Capcom for more details.
