End of Nations' MOBA switch because MMO aspects 'underdeveloped'
End of Nations executive producer Scot Lane said the move to MOBA was relatively easy because it was already a combat intensive game, but that the MMO aspects were "underdeveloped and didn't resonate well" with fans when Trion took the game over from former developer Petroglyph. But, "the combat felt like it was on a trajectory to be compelling and fun."

hero's were just more powerfully and more costly army units, you did not need one, and they had specific factions now they don't.
it had factions, it wasn't just a meaningless colour choice.
the MMO part is what people wanted 2 rival factions working together and, hopefully, not screwing over each other, to kill the big bad.
