Wipe the skull fragments from your boots and sharpen your shoulder pads, as Cyanide Studio's Blood Bowl adaptation is finally getting an actual sequel rather than more fancied-up expanded editions. Publisher Focus Home carefully avoids saying anything of much consequence about Blood Bowl 2, but, er, hey, we do know that vampire-ogre commentator duo Jim and Bob will play a bigger part.

The pair won't simply commentate matches in the sequel, oh no. Today's announcement says their Cabalvision studio "will be the main interface for the game", and the pair will be there in shiny 3D, offering help and criticism as well as interviewing star players. What else Blood Bowl 2 brings to the world of super-violent sports, Focus Home isn't willing to say yet.

Which platforms is it coming to? No idea. PC is a safe bet, though. When? Couldn't say.

Cyanide is also working on Blood Bowl: Star Coach, a free-to-play game which focuses more on team management than in-match tactics. That's available now through Steam Early Access.
