Mirror's Edge 2 found on Amazon Germany
Amazon Germany has produced a listing for Mirror's Edge 2 for Xbox 360.
Update - Added comment from EA.
We've been hearing about the potential sequel to the cult favorite Mirror's Edge for a long time. Most recently we heard rumblings that it could be in development at DICE. All those rumors may be coming closer to an actual announcement, as "Mirror's Edge 2" has been spotted on a German retail site.
Amazon Germany lists the game for the Xbox 360. It's a sparse page other than that, but it's a bit more hope than Mirror's Edge fans have had in a long while. Amazon has had a history of spilling the beans on projects, like when the German version of the retailer outed Europe's Skyrim Premium Edition.
This is no guarantee of Mirror's Edge 2, but it would make a nice announcement for Electronic Arts at E3. We contacted EA regarding the listing, and a representative issued the following statement.
"We appreciate fan enthusiasm for Mirror's Edge, especially fans throughout the retail channel. This is not official EA material. We have nothing to announce at this time."

Honestly, the combat, if they do it, should be easy mode type stuff. Run up to someone press a button and she does a ninja move and the guy is down before he knows it. Then you should be able to chain these attacks. Wall runs etc. Even if they give you a gun, easy mode. Point and shoot in someone's general direction or maybe slo-mo aim. This way the game never really slows down and you never lose that sense of momentum.

No.
I love Mirror's Edge exactly the way it is. I would like to be able to keep the small arms holstered so I could use them as backup pieces while shooting with another weapon, but that's it. Mirror's Edge is a great platformer and the combat is also really good. It's hardly overdone and in almost all cases it just serves to add tension or urgency while being optional. However, I found that being able to run away removes the pressure from combat and allows me to enjoy it, unlike in any other shooter I've ever played.
There are a few small issues with regards to animations and controls that need to be smoothed out, I'd like better graphics, and I'd like more content and re-playability, but not a longer main story. Instead, I'd like the game to focus on the main story while also providing optional side stories that can be totally ignored and don't jump out at you and distract you from the main story.
Gameplay should be kept the same for Faith, only take care to make sure that combat is always optional, as there were some levels where I couldn't figure out how to get through without being turned into Swiss Cheese, but add Kate as an alternative playable character that has lower mobility and greater combat capability for a slightly different experience that would add variety and replayability. Perhaps it might be good to have them fighting and running side by side, or perhaps make it so that each can separately play through the main story line with mostly the same levels but some variations, such as levels that are unique to each or routes and solutions that are unique to each. -
I really liked both the platforming and the fighting. They were both really good. If anything needs changing it's the hand to hand combat, where I feel like there are artificial constraints on my moves and most HtH fights have annoying scripting, so even if I beat Celeste enough to knock her out I can't win unless I disarm her. Also there's the inability to do what every other character can do, which is to use melee attacks while holding a weapon.
The combat in ME is what got me to like shooting in a 1st person POV to begin with. Knowing that I can always run away removed a lot of the tension that I have when playing FPS games, and being geared towards constant forward movement meant that my habit of constantly pressing the forward button even when I should be letting go didn't adversely affect me. As a result I found that I actually like to fight and clear each area of enemies before moving on instead of just running though.

Mirror's Edge was a phenomenal game for me. And not to be weird or morbid, but it was one of the last games I played while my marriage was still good, before things went to crap and I got divorced.
So I have some odd, bittersweet, emotional attachment to it, especially the soundtrack.
If they can make a sequel with a compelling story, continuing Faith's journey, and make the controls a bit more intuitive...

Instead of reducing the combat they should give some reason as to why Faith doesn't die, like that her clothes are made of several layers of Kevlar or something. It doesn't need to be 100% realistic, so long as it's believable. However, it should be something that is revealed in a very offhanded way in the background so as not to draw attention to it so people won't think about it and find inconsistencies.

The idea that the Bombcast were throwing around of a Mirror's Edge style game in the Star Wars Jedi fiction sounded awesome; I think that should happen. The setting of the Old Republic (the time period in the Star Wars universe, not the MMO of the same name) would mean no blasters, therefore would open the door to parkour.
