This reminds me of Nvidia talking down the importance of unified shaders only to end up being the first to release a PC card with unified shaders in the form of the Geforce 8800. -
There aint nothing wrong with Wii U. Its Nintendo's new platform. Just like this announcement may be SONY's new platform (which is unnecessary since PS3 barely was pushed to its limits).
This is all about posturing. Makes for good headlines and gets gamers wet with anticipation. Thing is, all you are going to do is play more photo-realistic shooters.
So whats the point?
