Microsoft to roll out 40 entertainment apps for Xbox Live

Microsoft has outlined a large list of entertainment apps coming to Xbox Live, starting this week. The publisher is aiming to release more than 40 across all regions between now and next spring.

Microsoft is rolling out a veritable boatload of entertainment apps in the coming weeks and months, across all regions. The company is launching more than 40 apps between now and spring of 2013, and some of them are coming this week.

According to the Major Nelson blog, CNET, Karaoke, Maxim, and Skydrive will start rolling out today and throughout this week in the United States. In the long term, most of the 40 apps are set for other countries. Planned apps for the US include All3M, Ameba TV, Flixster, GameTrailers, IndieFlix, MTV, PBS, PopcornFlix, Slacker Radio, and the CW Network. CrunchyRoll, Deezer, and Machinima were listed for a "majority" of Xbox Live regions as well.

    I wish they should stop fucking up with the localization and give me a UI in English when I set the console to English instead of giving me 50/50 Swedish and English. It's fucking annoying as hell and the Swedish translations sucks donkey balls.

  Yeah I know it's probably for their digital media offering so it's no different than Vudu but still odd at first glance.

        hit xbox button, go to the far right and see settings. that menu hasn't changed much and it's the fastest way to get to the settings without hassle ;)
