BioShock Infinite delayed to March 26

BioShock Infinite is delayed yet again. The new date is exactly one month after the original ship date: March 26th.

In one scene in BioShock Infinite, Elizabeth runs up to an arcade machine, one she's been patiently waiting for. Apparently this long-in-development game was delayed three times, undoubtedly an "in" reference to Infinite's own lengthy production. So color us unsurprised when creative director Ken Levine announced that BioShock Infinite would be delayed yet again. The new date is exactly one month after the original ship date: March 26th. Levine said that the game's release was pushed a month due to feedback from Irrational's new production director, Rod Fergusson. According to Levine, Fergusson said that an additional month would go a long way in helping the game's polish. To accompany the news, we have a few new screenshots for you to peruse. And be sure to come back, as we'll have a full hands-on report soon.

I can't help but feel this is a troubled title.

If they need to take more time, that's fine with me. I'd rather wait for something solid.

And yeah, there's the DNF-route where more time is a boondoggle but this is just a few months.

I hope they don't just take the "nah, the story in the first game didn't really matter, here's a whole new only tangentially related story" approach again like they did with Crysis 2.

They're still pretending the first game never happened. Crysis 3 just picks up on Crysis 2's ridicilous plot. As if we are supposed to care about Prophet or some shit. They have abandoned their protagonist in both games for no reason other than drive me away from this series.

Not a huge fan the new Elizabeth model's face/hair. She looks older and lost the innocence the previous character had. also boobs

I think she looks a hell of a lot more realistic, which is far more important to me than her oddly proportioned 'doe-eyed' innocence that she used to have.

          More uncanny valley, I'd say.

I'd still rather have some uncanny valley in my Bioshock than (what I thought) was a caricature of a human being, drawn to Anime ^_^ proportions.

She looks kind of dull now. The previous version was much more striking and recognizable.

In the various previews that were de-embargoed this morning , they say that Elizabeth starts off looking a lot different and acting different from what you've seen, but will evolve to the stronger woman that we have been seeing for the last year.

This actually makes sense that if the pieced-together storyline is true, she's basically been prisoner of this giant Songbird, an "abusive boyfriend" relationship, and now you are pulling her out of that and giving her confidence to act on her own.

I'm not worried. I'm almost positive this game will be amazing. The more polish the better.
