Double Fine's 'Amnesia Fortnight' games chosen
Double Fine's "Amnesia Fortnight" has gone up for a public vote, and four prototypes have been chosen to be put through the wringer over the next two weeks.
Double Fine's first "Amnesia Fortnight," in which the company spent weeks refining prototypes to make into its most recent crop of games, was a great success. The second was made a bit more democratic, and four pitches have won the vote to become full PC prototypes.
The Humble Bundle site shows the four winning games: Hack 'n' Slash, Spacebase DF9, The White Birch, and Autonomous. They run the gamut from a dungeon crawler, space station sim, ambient exploration, and a first-person construction title, respectively.
Those four pitches will spend the next two weeks being developed into prototypes and streamed for your sadistic viewing pleasure. Tim Schafer has also set up a forum thread asking why your choices grabbed your attention, to help inform the creative process.
The last time Double Fine had an Amnesia Fortnight, we got Costume Quest, Iron Brigade, and Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster out of the deal. Check out the videos below for what might be the next crop of brilliant little games from Double Fine.
