Would you be meaning the first party games, or games in general.
For the first one I could understand how someone might think that, but for the second....you would have to be off your rocker. I can't think of a single game that was a better port on the PS3 than on the 360.
I'm not saying there isn't one but the 360 has been the better platform for the vast majority of ports/cross platform games.

I think it's independent of consumers.
This is a manufacturing thing. It's cheaper to produce the Super Slim, end of story. There's no benefit to the consumers aside from the smaller footprint (and a marginal electrical usage decrease, but who gives a shit about that?). This is purely to help Sony's bottom line.
And it's not a bad idea. I figure MS and Sony will announce their new systems next year for a 2015 release. This is a good way to further reduce costs and squeeze another couple of years revenue from the PS3. -

But by now people relise that for a combination of a blu-ray play(top of the range BTW) and a console this has to be the best choice? PLUS where else can I get 20-30 games a year for £40? PSN+
Shit i've bought two, one up and one downstairs because it churns through anything I throw at it.
I won't need a super slim but for people with an old fatty, retire it to a blu-ray (plus old 40,60,80gb HD's) and get your game on with the super slim.
Plus DUST_514 is awesome and any freebies will only serve you well.-

Yeah here's the thing about that. I just got one of those a couple months ago off craigslist. I was pretty stoked about the backwards compatibility.
Turns out that even when you play a PS or PS2 game in 480i on an SDTV, they lag like crazy. Gradius is unplayable, as I'm sure older wipeouts and fighting games are too. Totally unacceptable.
Because of that, I will eventually get one of these new slim guys and sell my BC model. No hurry though, the BC model will retain it's value ($200-250) and these super slims will eventually drop in price.
