If you fancy some new tunes to play in Rock Band Blitz or to twang on some old favourites in Rock Band 3, a fine opportunity is coming up. To celebrate the rhythm series' fifth anniversary in November and the launch of Blitz, developer Harmonix is planning to make over 1,100 DLC songs half-price in a huge sale, including singles, packs and full albums.

The sale will kick off tomorrow, September 18, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii. Hit this forum thread to see the full list of everything going on sale, but this PDF file is more useful as it includes all the prices too.

Harmonix isn't just trying to shift the dregs of its DLC catalogue, there are real corkers going on sale, including the likes of Ministry, Pixies, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Alice in Chains, Bob Marley, Iron Maiden, T. Rex, The Jam, and Talking Heads. And KISS, but nobody's perfect.
