Dishonored PC specs revealed
If you are going to play Dishonored on your PC then your shouldn't need to do too much upgrading to your rig. Bethesda released some fairly tame system specs for the game.
If you are going to play Dishonored on your PC, then you probably won't need to upgrade to your rig. Bethesda and Arkane's upcoming action game has some fairly tame minimum requirements.
Minimum Spec:
- OS: Windows Vista / Windows 7
- Processor: 3.0 GHz dual core or better
- Memory: 4 GB system RAM
- Hard Disk Space: 9 GB
- Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible with 512 MB video RAM or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850)
- Sound: Windows compatible sound card
Recommended Spec:
- Processor: 2.4 GHz quad core or better
- Video Card: DirectX 9 compatible with 768 MB video RAM or better (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850)
The Bethesda Blog also points out that the game is "enhanced" for 64-bit multi-core processors. The PC version of Dishonored also includes incredibly customizable UI options. The game will be available on October 9.

Pity that it apparently uses DirectX 9 but doesn't support XP. :(
I would have thought that if they were only going to support Vista/Win7, then maybe DX 10 might have been more appropriate. Then again, I'm not a programmer so maybe other facts need to be considered while deciding what ver of DirectX a game will use.... -

Battlefield 3 doesn't require anything near a 460, and I am certain that BF3 has way more intensive/complex stuff going on. -
