Modern Warfare 3 August DLC introduces fully playable helicopter
Modern Warfare 3 is getting more DLC this month, and both of the revealed Spec Ops missions include some sort of air support, letting players take on separate roles. One lets a player pilot a helicopter.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is getting another content drop this month, comprised of three new content bits. Two of those will be Spec Ops missions: Light Em Up and Special Delivery. The third is still being kept under wraps.
According to VideoGamer (via One of Swords), Light Em Up takes place after the main campaign, and has you storming an Eastern European stronghold in a rescue attempt. It will be the Modern Warfare's first brush with a fully operable vehicle, in the form of the "Little Bird" helicopter. It can blind enemies with a searchlight to protect your partner, or lay down some havoc with a grenade launcher and assault rifle.
Special Delivery is also a rescue mission, at a Chinese hydroelectric dam. One player can use the Osprey Gunner killstreak for air support and drop care packages, while the other searches for the hostage.
Both are scheduled to hit Xbox 360 players with Elite memberships within a few weeks. It's likely that PlayStation 3 players will have to wait until September, as per the usual trend due to Microsoft's exclusivity agreement. PC players will have to wait a bit longer, as they don't have access to Call of Duty Elite.
