Minecraft XBLA adding DLC costumes
Minecraft on the Xbox 360 is getting its first DLC content pack, full of costumes like the Covenant Grunt, Trials biker, Splosion Man, and a Minecraft Creeper.
Minecraft on Xbox Live Arcade has always had a conspicuous "Download Content" option on the main menu. But right now, it just leads to a quick message saying none is available. What kind of DLC can we expect from this game? Apparently the answer is costumes.
OXM reports that the first content pack will add a set of 40 costumes. Some that we've seen so far include Xbox icons like a Covenant Grunt, Trials biker, and Splosion Man. You could also be a king, if you have a giant ego, or a Creeper, if you want to run straight towards your friends to freak them out. A free trial will apparently be available too, though its contents haven't been disclosed.

Because not everybody has a 360 controller hooked to their PC? Not everyone has their PC connected to a TV so they can play on a couch? Because some people only own a 360 because it costs about $200 whereas even a medciore PC can cost several times more?
Seriously dont understand why anyone would make a dumb post like this on the chatty.-
Neither do I. I have no idea why anyone would make a post as dumb as yours Snot.
A decent PC costs around 600 bucks, and you could get a cheapo throw-away laptop that can run Minecraft for around the same price as a 360 (And all the other things you can do on a computer). It's not like Minecraft is a POWERHOUSE OF CUTTING EDGE GRAPHICS.

i don't like spending a ton of money every couple of years to upgrade and keep up with current titles and i spend all of my work day at a computer desk and office chair and don't care to spend my off hours doing the same. also it is impractical to hook up my PC to the TV or to buy a 2nd PC just to hook up to the TV.

I've put hundreds of hours into the PC version of the game and I love it. But I also have the 360 version and it's a perfectly functional and fun version of the game. The best part about it is couch co-op or co-op over live because you can easily invite your friends into your single player version of the game... which is something that the PC version can't even do yet. I guess the next patch will allow this but it's not in there yet. It is a ton of fun and actually pretty relaxing to chill out with a few buddies and just build shit. The 360 version is a very good version of the game and should not be blown off as a cheap imitation.
Also... not every computer can run Minecraft. If you want it too look decent it actually takes a fairly recent computer.
