Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD for Xbox 360 no longer happening
Developer Just Add Water has been struggling to release the HD update of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on Xbox Live. It appears they've given up.
Developer Just Add Water has been struggling to release the HD update of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath on Xbox Live. At first, Microsoft claimed the re-release didn't meet file size requirements. Once the developers met that requirement, Microsoft supposedly rejected the title for not meeting sales requirements on PC and PS3, where the game currently lives. It appears enough is enough, as the developer appears to have given up on releasing the game on Xbox Live.
"The boat has really passed on that one," a community rep said on the game's official site. "We're winding up development on Stranger's Wrath HD and Munch's Oddysee HD. Blame Microsoft for not letting us publish on Xbox 360." Eurogamer points out that without a third party publisher, getting the niche title onto the service would be difficult.
Although an Xbox 360 version has been ruled out, the PS3 version is getting a significant update. A new patch will add 3DTV support, PlayStation Move support, YouTube video recording and uploading, and other performance improvements. The game is also heading to PS Vita.

The developers still mention it semi-regularly on the Steam forum, e.g. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=31185129&postcount=124
