"Many of you have asked what's coming up next for TGC and whether our games can be played on other platforms. I have good news for you," studio co-founder Jenova Chen said.
"Today I am pleased to announce thatgamecompany has raised funding to develop and release our games independently," co-founder Jenova Chen announced. "This enables us to bring our games to more platforms and provide our players the highest quality experience at every point of contact."
Enabling TGC's transition to a fully independent studio is funding from Benchmark Capital. While Chen doesn't offer any more details on the studio's next title, it's largely believed to be an online game.

Awesome news! I hate not being able to play games like Flower and Journey! They look like important games that everybody should be able to play. I can't wait to see what they come up with next. I wonder if the other games are timed exclusives and they will be able to eventually release them on other systems? (My guess would be no...)
